Junior High, 7th — 8th Grade
Wednesdays, Room 101, 7 - 8:30 p.m., September - April
Three nights of each month are devoted to a Bible lesson and one night is a fun night. Our Bible lesson material will cover a wide range of topics—some talk about the decisions that junior high students are facing at this time in their life and some are taken from stories in the Bible. During the Bible lesson, we try to make it interactive so the students will be able to relate the activity to the material that was discussed. We collect food twice a year for the Pella Food Shelf as a Christian Service Project. Our fun times have involved such activities as campouts, fishing, canoeing, attending a hockey game, sledding, attending Christian plays, bowling, pizza parties, movie nights, etc. We also try to introduce the students to new activities they have not done before and make projects or crafts. Our prayer time is used to pray for the lesson and the life of each student where there are joys and concerns. We encourage the students to come up with ideas about what they want to do during the year.
