MOMS WITH HOPE
Moms with Hope is a support group for moms who have lost a child due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death. All moms are welcome, no matter where you are in the grief process and no matter how long it has been since your loss. This support group meets the 2nd Monday of the month at 7 pm located at the Comfort House, lower level—505 Union Street. For questions or more information, call 620-5050.
HEPHZIBAH HOUSE
The Hephzibah House is located in Newton. They ‘provide a loving, safe, and healthy environment where women can reclaim the freedom God originally intended for their lives.’ They are looking for volunteers, mentors, class facilitators, and prayer support. PCHS GIRL’S BASKETBALL TEAM FUNDRAISER
The Pella Christian High School Girl’s Varsity Basketball Team will be holding their annual fundraiser at the Pella Pizza Ranch on Monday, January 31. The players will be waitressing tables from 5-8pm. All tips and a percentage of the profit will go to the girl’s basketball program. Come out and enjoy a great supper and show your support for the PC girl’s basketball team!
INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION CLINIC
Bethany Christian Services is excited to share with you that the International Adoption Clinic at the University of Minnesota is sending an occupational therapist and a nurse to Pella to discuss various developmental/behavioral and sensory issues, medical concerns, etc. often seen in children who were internationally adopted. Megan Bresnahan, O.T.R., and Beth Andrews, R.N., M.S., will be presenting to parents, educators, and others interested on Wednesday, February 2 at 6:30 PM at Third Church (708 East 13th Street, Pella). PCGS SPANISH IMMERSION PROGRAM MEETING
Pella Christian Grade School is considering a Spanish Immersion Program for interested families of students entering preschool through first grade in the 2011-12 academic year. Families will have the choice to place their child in the Spanish Immersion Program or Pella Christian Grade School’s current preschool through first grade programs. An informational meeting about Spanish Immersion will be held on Thursday, February 3 at 7:00 pm in the Pella Christian Grade School gymnasium. We encourage parents and constituents of all ages to attend and learn about this opportunity! SUPPORT GROUP FOR FAMILIES WITH PHSYCIAL DISABILITIES
Coming soon . . . a new support group for people with physical disabilities and their families. The goal is to offer support, education, and encouragement with Christian compassion to each individual. CRC PASTOR ORDINATION
Rick Admiraal passed his examination at classis to become a minister of the Word in the CRC. He will plant the New Life Prison Church at the Newton Correctional Facility. Rick's ordination is scheduled for Sunday, February 6, 6:00 p.m., at Calvary CRC in Pella. You are welcome to attend.

PCHS SPIRITUAL RENEWAL DAYS
This year the group Axis Worldview from Colorado Springs will lead Spiritual Renewal Days at Pella Christian High School February 16-18. The group’s message is an "in-your-face" approach challenging students to rethink and re-examine their beliefs. They hope to move students from a general knowledge to a personal faith in Christ. Axis is an interactive group that believes in student involvement and interaction to get kids to grab a hold of their faith and make it real. They believe that a strong, biblical worldview will prepare young people to face the challenges that come with living the Christian lifestyle. Youth groups, parents, and the community are invited to an event led by Axis, Wednesday, February 16, at 7:00PM in the Pella Christian High School Vermeer Auditorium.

The Bill Riley Talent Search is coming to the Marion County Fairgrounds on July 19, 2011. The search is open to young adults and children in the state of Iowa. PEDAL FOR A PURPOSE
A number of faith-based community development organizations including World Vision-US Programs, New Horizons Romania, Cary Christian Center, Justice For All, Habitat for Humanity, Coldwater Foundation, the John and Vera Mae Perkins Foundation and others are joining in a unique fundraiser: Pedal For A Purpose. Pedal For A Purpose has been developed as a way to create an event that allows people to come together and raise awareness and resources for an organization they care deeply about. Pedal For A Purpose is organized by New Vision Renewable Energy, a renewable energy ministry helping rural communities develop sustainable power from renewable resources. The ride is open to other nonprofit organizations whose mission is consistent with the values and purpose of the ride. The ride will begin in Orange City, Iowa on July 11, cycling to Pella, Iowa, through Missouri and Arkansas, traveling the length of the Mississippi Delta into Cary and the Cary Christian Center; ending July 23 in Jackson, Mississippi at the John and Vera Mae Perkins Foundation. Ride a bike and/or support a rider to raise money for Kingdom work!! Ride for a day, a week or the entire trip.
