GRACE FAQs
What if I'm not sure I believe in God?
Everyone’s spiritual journey has a starting place. That’s one of the biggest reasons we’re here – to help you get started on yours.
If you are willing to honestly explore what it means to believe in God as he was revealed in Jesus Christ, Grace Fellowship is the kind of place you will enjoy.
What if I'm not very familiar with the Bible?
While understanding the Bible is essential to being a Christian, we know that everyone is on a spiritual journey and at Grace we will meet you where you are in your understanding of the Bible.
We explain Bible characters and stories – we don’t expect you to be Bible scholar. We will help you learn the great truths of the Bible and show you step-by-step how you can apply them in practical ways to your life.
You can always join one of our Bible Study small groups and learn more about the Bible, plus meet some great new friends at the same time.
What if my faith background isn't Christian Reformed?
Our Christian Reformed heritage is something many people at Grace value deeply. However, there are many others here who do not have a Christian Reformed background or even a background as a Christian believer.
We are more interested in your commitment to the truths of the Bible and your desire to grow in your faith in Jesus, than your denominational background.
Is there something for my kids to do?
Your kids will enjoy coming to Grace. We have lot of kids here and we have created meaningful and age-appropriate activities for all of them.
We have nursery for the little ones. For age 2 1⁄2 to 3rd grade, we have SonZone on Sunday mornings.
On Wednesday evenings, we have Kids4Christ, Kids in Christ’s Kingdom Service (KICKS) and Guys-n-Gals which are programs for 4th graders thru high school.
Will I be required to become a member?
Membership at Grace is a process. It usually begins with getting to know us and what we’re really all about. You can attend for as long as you want before considering membership.
When you decide to become a member, we will answer all your questions at our Grace 101 forum. After that you will be given the opportunity to join us in a more formal way.
Will I be required to give money to your church?
Grace members are requested to allow their gratitude to God to fuel their generosity in giving. No one is expected to give unless it is in obedience to the Lord and in response to God’s prompting.
We value your presence with us much more than we need for you to give money. If you want to give, please make it an act of worship and give with a cheerful heart.
How can I get involved?
At Grace, we need lots of people involved in our Sunday celebrations and small groups. We also need people to help teach our kids and to reach out to our community.
We believe that God equips people with spiritual gifts to help build the church. We will help you discover your gifts and then gently guide you to a fulfilling place to serve.
Joining a small group is one of the best ways to exercise your gifts and get affirmation about some of the ways that you could serve.
