STAFF POSITION AVAILABLE—CHILDREN’S MINISTRY COORDINATOR
We are seeking applications for a Children’s Ministry Coordinator. A job description and applications are available by the mailboxes or on our website under ‘resources’. Applications can be turned into the office and will be accepted through Sunday, August 8. If you have any questions, contact Roger DeWaard or a Council Member.
COUNCIL NOTES FROM JULY’S MEETING
The following items were discussed at July’s Council Meeting:
- Rick Harrill was elected VP of Council,
- Rod Blunck was re-appointed as Church Treasurer,
- Stu Van Wyk was appointed as Clerk of Council,
- Installation of new elder (Mike Van Sant) and deacon (Jodi Tukker) will be August 8, and
- Material prices are being compared in order to proceed with the building of the garage.
MISSION SHARING SUNDAY
We are planning a Mission Sharing Sunday on August 15. If you have been on a mission/service project within the past six months, contact Gina Jansen at gjansen@gracetou.org. We know about many of you; however, we don’t want to miss anyone.
4-CORNERS OFFERING FOR JULY
For the month of July, all donations given through the 4-Corners Offering will go to the Marion County Nest Program supporting the “Christmas in July” donation drive. Nest is an incentive-based program that provides education, support, and encouragement to mothers and fathers in Marion County who have a child under the age of one or are pregnant. The members are able to earn points to purchase baby supplies (diapers, wipes, etc.) in their store. The store is stocked with items that are donated or purchased through financial donations.
We encourage everyone to bring a dollar every week to deposit into the boxes located in the corners of the Worship Center during the normal offering.

PERSONAL PRAYER Praise the Lord Jesus who will be “revealed from heaven in blazing fire with His powerful angels” (2 Thessalonians 1:7). Thank Him that He will come to restore justice and righteousness in the earth. Confess the times when you have not lived in awareness of Christ’s coming again in power and judgment. Ask Him to help you desire and look forward to His coming, and commit yourself to preparing yourself and others for “the day when He comes to be glorified in His holy people and to be marveled at among all who have believed” (2 Thessalonians 1:10).
FOR YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS Pray daily for salvation of any family members or close friends whose lives show that they do not truly believe that Christ is coming in power and judgment.
FOR THE CHURCH Ask the Spirit to give the churches in our community a sense of urgency in bringing the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection to the unchurched and unbelieving in their neighborhoods.
FOR THE KINGDOM Pray for the protection of Jesus’ blood and the power of His cross over all North American missionaries who are working to reclaim those blinded by New Age religion, by materialism, or by drugs or sex addiction.
FOR THE UNSAVED Ask God to change the hearts of those who don’t love the truth, and to set them free from Satan’s lies.
