Small Groups

What is the purpose of a small group?
Small Groups at Grace Fellowship provide the opportunity to develop friendships in an informal and safe environment with others who are discovering what it means to follow Jesus. A variety of groups are offered so that by finding a group that matches your needs and interests, you will enjoy getting to know others and move forward in your walk with God.

What happens at small group meetings?
Because many small groups meet in homes, the atmosphere is informal and relaxed. While the format of the time together will vary according to the purpose of each group, there is always time to build relationships, often over food or through an ice-breaker activity. Activities, studies, or discussions are included in each gathering in order to help group members discover next steps in spiritual growth. Prayer is an important part of small group life.

Who leads small groups?
Small group leaders are not necessarily Bible scholars or teachers. They are people just like you who believe in the importance of relationships with each other and with Jesus. The leader functions as a facilitator who helps the group move toward its goals. Leaders are members of Grace Fellowship, are given training opportunities, and have a desire to see people grow closer to the Lord and to each other.
